The story behind our name
Thriving at the deepest point on Earth
10,916 mMariana Trench · 23 Jan 1960
On 23 January 1960, the bathyscaphe Trieste became the first vessel ever to reach the Mariana Trench, the deepest oceanic trench on Earth, 10,916 metres down.
Despite the extreme conditions and external pressure, life was discovered there, not only surviving, but thriving. Trieste reached its goal, and achieved what was previously considered impossible.

Led by people who know this work
Our directors bring almost 30 years' combined experience in community and in-home support, goal-setting, case management, service coordination and capacity building, and hold relevant post-graduate qualifications.
